Baby Sampler - Done!

I am doing a really big, Snoopy Happy Dance!! After 10 1/2 months, I am finally finished with the Baby Sampler!  Whoo-hoo!!!
My youngest is going to be very happy to take this to the framer's tomorrow so she can (finally) have it hang on the wall in her room.  Both of her sisters have one, and now she will too.

Again, this one was an emotional one for me. I had almost had it finished when my ex (their father) become enraged and to show me a lesson, he took scissors to it on the scroll rods and slashed it in front of us. It took me years to rebuild my stash after leaving him, and after many, many years, I started stitching again.  In that process, I had to find the original pattern that I started for her. I don't know why it was important to me to use the original pattern and not just start something different, but it was.

I had many things come up inbetween the start and finish of this one, but it is probably the most important accomplishment I have had.

  1. Congrats, Kasey. It is beautiful, and so full of pretty colors. The story behind it is so heartbreaking, but you managed to make something good come out of it. And good for you for starting back with stitching!

  2. Beautiful stitching and great finish! I'm so glad you were able to make the comeback that you did after such an awful situation. Makes victory that much sweeter! Good for you:)

  3. Wow so sweet..well done dear x

  4. What wonderful good has emerged from the bad! This is an awesome finish and I'm so glad that you have regained your emotional health. Kudos to you!

  5. WONDERFUL... This is such a fantastic VICTORY... I was so excited to see your finish - it is a feel good moment and shouts STRENGTH to all of us.
