Beading - Day 2

Normally, I don't mind beading, but I have discovered that beading on a Nora Corbett piece is quite maddening. I am using invisible thread which is difficult to maintain on the needle, but the pattern calls for a lot of dragging, so I don't want colored floss.

I know, I know - no one will see the back, but I would know and it would drive me insane knowing that it looked horrible.

Whew! This is a LOT of work. I'm getting a bit faster now that I have found a rhythm, but I cannot work at night on it or my eyes hurt.

  1. I can't even imagine how you can do these beads. I get so frustrated. I have chosen not to do charts I know I would love because I am intimidated by the beads... She is beautiful

  2. Wow, Kasey, this is gorgeous! You are doing a wonderful job...the beading looks great. I just finished a Mirabilia piece and had started out using invisible thread for the beading. I found that it stretches too much and is way too hard to secure on the back. I finally gave up and picked floss colors that matched the beads and used one strand of floss to secure them. I did A LOT of tying off and restarting, in order to avoid the drag showing through on the back. It was a pain, but much easier than the invisible thread, lol! Keep up the good work :)
